How to reach Pescara and Hotel Villa Maria
- by plane (to Pescara): There are flights (Ryanair, Wizz Air, Luxair) from some European and Italian cities to Abruzzo International Airport of Pescara. The airport is less than 10 Km from the MES 2024 Venue. You can then reach Hotel Villa Maria by taxi. By providing the organizing committee the estimated time of arrival at the airport, if a sufficient number of people is reached, we might be able to organize transportation to the hotel by minivan at a reasonable price.
- by plane (to Rome) + bus: If you reach one of the two Rome airports (Fiumicino “Leonardo da Viinci” or Ciampino) there are frequent bus connections to Pescara central station (bus terminal). Several companies connect the two airports to Pescara: Prontobus, Clikbus and Dicarlobus (only Fiumicino).
- from Fiumicino: the bus journey takes little less than 3:30 hours (about 4 hours if the bus also stops in Roma Tiburtina, inside the city of Rome). You can buy the tickets online or on the bus. If you miss the bus because your plane was late, most companies will allow you to use the ticket bought online (i.e. with no additional cost) for the next bus, provided there is still room available. When you arrive in Fiumicino, to reach the bus stop, you need to exit the Arrival Terminal T3, turn right and walk for about 200 mt following the sign “Bus Station”. Buses going to Pescara can generally be found at Stallo (Bus Terminal) 5 (Prontobus), Stallo 6 (Dicarlobus) and Stallo 7 (Clikbus). Once at Pescara central station (the bus terminal) you can reach Hotel Villa Maria by taxi (7 Km ca.). By providing the organizing committee the estimated time of arrival at Pescara Bus Terminal, if a sufficient number of people is reached, we might be able to organize transportation to the hotel by minivan at a reasonable price.
- from Ciampino: the bus journey takes little less than 3:00 hours (about 3:30 hours if the bus also stops in Roma Tiburtina, inside the city of Rome). You can buy the tickets online or on the bus. If you miss the bus because your plane was late, most companies will allow you to use the ticket bought online (i.e. with no additional cost) for the next bus, provided there is still room available. The bus stop in Ciampino is in front of the International Departure terminal. Buses going to Pescara can generally be found at Stallo (Bus Terminal) 5. The bus is generally the same one leaving from Fiumicino which then stops at Ciampino. Once at Pescara Central Station (the bus terminal) you can reach Hotel Villa Maria by taxi (7 Km ca.). By providing the organizing committee the estimated time of arrival at Pescara Bus Terminal, if a sufficient number of people is reached, we might be able to organize transportation to the hotel by minivan at a reasonable price.
- by plane (to Milan) + train: This is not the best option, but, should you reach Milan, there are some fast trains (Frecciarossa) connecting Milan Central Station to Pescara Central Station in about 4 hours. Once at Pescara Central Station you can reach Hotel Villa Maria by taxi (7 Km ca.). By providing the organizing committee the estimated time of arrival at Pescara Central Station, if a sufficient number of people is reached, we might be able to organize transportation to the hotel by minivan at a reasonable price.
